Beautiful Beaches in Tenerife
Obviously, with 365 days a year sun, warm to hot temperatures all year round, and an amazing climate, there is a lot of scope for visiting beaches when you come to Tenerife.
There is an abundance of high quality, man-made beaches, normally with fine black sand, however, there are a few 'white' beaches on the Island too.
Playa del Duque

Situated in one of the finest areas of Tenerife, and nextdoor to the popular 5 star hotel, Gran Hotel Bahia del Duque. The sand is very fine, and composed of grey specks. Located on the beach itself are sunbeds, sunshades, toilets, changing rooms and telephones. Like most beaches, bars and restaurants are located practically all the way along the beach.
El Médano Beach

Located in the district of Granadilla de Abona, next to the resort of the same name. It holds the distinction of being the longest beach on the whole Island (2 km). The beach is made up of fine golden sand, surrounded by protected Nature Reserve. The beach itself has calm, shallow waters and is family friendly.
Las Teresitas

Located 7km from the centre of Santa Cruz, locals and tourists all flock to this golden sandy beach. 1.5km long, and dotted with Palm trees, this beach has all the amenities you could ever need. Showers, Sun Loungers, Changing Rooms and much more.
Playa de las Vistas

Playa de la Vistas beach is the largest of the 3 Los Cristianos beaches. This blue flag, golden sand beach is widely regarded as the best beach in Southern tenerife, by tourists and locals alike.
Troya

This was the first beach at Costa Adeje. It has fine golden sand and calm seas and is located in a very central area. The sea is great for practising water sports. There is a lifeguard service, sun loungers and parasols for hire, parking, restaurants, bars, showers, changing rooms and a taxi rank and bus stop nearby.
Playa de La Arena beach

Located in the heart of the small tourist resort of Puerto Santiago, La Arena beach stands out for its excellent setting and extraordinary amount of light. The beach is 120 metres long with fine volcanic sand and a full range of facilities. There are a number of restaurants and shops, and the nearby hotels make for one of the most family-friendly beaches for locals and visitors alike.
El Camison beach

El Camisón is one of the many beaches between the tourist resorts of Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje. It is 120 metres long and makes up part of a continuous succession of beaches which are occasionally separated by a line of stones laid on the sand. As with all these beaches it has a wide range of services and facilities both on the beach and just the other side of the promenade.
A popular beach throughout the year, it offers a range of enjoyable water sports and an easy-going atmosphere. Swimming conditions are excellent due to the breakwater, which protects the beach from currents and waves.
