The park will not be opening on May 1st, as has been rumoured. True to company policy, they want to run a full range of safety checks and make sure that every last detail is absolutely at its very best before they open the doors to the public.

The resort of Puerto de la Cruz in the north of Tenerife is about to receive an over 11million euro cash injection to its tourism industry, according to recent reports.
The announcement revealed that the money will be spent on various projects in the resort town, including a general repair and remodelling of buildings and pavements.
The La Paz district will also get a get a complete revamp and Martianez beach will be renovated to improve the coastal area. (more...)

As headlines blaze claiming that millions of travellers will see their spending money squeezed this summer as the pound slumped to an all-time low against the euro, new research by the Post Office in the UK reveals that Spain is the cheapest country in the Eurozone.
Summer holidays should be a time to relax, feel the sun and leave all those everyday worries at home. Yet this year travellers are warned to be prepared for a little black cloud to cast a shadow over the great escape to the sun.
More Britons take their holidays on the Continent than anywhere else due to short journey times and relatively cheap living costs, but in many European countries, sun seekers could be faced with an increase in their spending budgets by 10 per cent. (more...)

The weak pound is expected to hit UK holidaymakers this summer The pound has reached a new all-time low against the euro.
The sterling pound went as low as 1.2500 euros, conversely the European single currency touched as high as 80 pence.
Reports say British holidaymakers are likely to notice the pound's weakness when they go on their 2008 summer holidays to eurozone nations such as Spain, France and Portugal.

Christoph Keissling, General Manager of Siam Park, spoke to Tenerife News recently and announced that the opening date for the mega theme park is set to be May the 1st, 2008.
Everything is in place, and the final checks are ready to be carried out.

Councilman Ángel Llanos recently flew to Madrid to see Alicia Keyes play her 'As I Am' concert at the Palacia de Deportes arena and also was rumoured to have begun negotiations to bring the American megastar to Tenerife.
