Monarch increasing Flights to Tenerife

Monarch Airlines will be increasing its number of flights to popular holiday destinations, including Tenerife, Spain, Portugal and Cyprus in April.

This follows the increased demand for these destinations, including very high demand for cheap Flights to Tenerife.  Monarch will also be bringing forward its plans to start new scheduled flights to Paphos, which were originally slated to begin during May of this year.

The additional flights will leave from London Gatwick and Manchester to Tenerife.

Princess Letizia visits Tenerife

The Asturias princess, Princess Letizia, (who, incidentally is Spain's future Queen) will arrive in Tenerife today to present grants totalling over 10 million euros form the Spanish Cancer Society.

Princess Letizia is the honorary president of the society, and will be at the ceremony from 18:30 onwards, which is being held in the Santa Cruz auditorium.

German giant Lidl to come to Tenerife

Lidl, the giant German discount chain of supermarket stores, announced yesterday that it has plans for 12 of it's supermarkets to open in the Canary Islands.  Five of these will be located in Tenerife, at La Laguna, Puerto de la Cruz, Granadilla, San Miguel, and Adeje. (more...)
