by DestinationTenerife

The first time me and my girlfriend went to these apartments in 2006 we knew we made a fantastic choice, the place was just spotless and the location was fantastic, the staff where very helpfull as the first thing i asked for was in my room within a few hours, i'd asked for extra pillow's and they where there. The food at the pool side was excellent for what you paid and the friendly staff where always chatting away with you. We've been back this...

El Sombrero Apartments, Los Gigantes, Tenerife - El Sombrero

by DestinationTenerife

Very clean spacious apartment; well kept grounds; small pool but always plenty of sunbeds. The apartments are well situated, near supermarket, local bus stop and plenty of good restaurants. Some rooms are near the road so light sleepers beware! (But there is very little traffic in the wee hours). We didn't eat at the poolside bar but fellow holidaymakers thought it very good indeed. Los Gigantes is a quiet resort eg there are only three bars w...

Catalonia Oro Negro Hotel, Playa De Las Americas, Tenerife - Indifferent!

by DestinationTenerife

I can't in all honesty find much to criticise this hotel for - that said I can't find very much to praise it for either! My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant stay I can't say we would never return but it would take a very good deal to get us to go back. Plus points: Clean, good food (which is varied and well presented), efficient lifts, good sized rooms, pleasant friendly staff and a general very pleasant ambience. Minus points: Not enou...

e@ Rhinestone Country

by DestinationTenerife

Hi Clas & Susanne, Paul from the partner dancers in October here. Hope you settling in at your new venue, will look you up when next in Tenerife (hopefully February). I have written a line dance to 'Save Your Heart For Me' and attached a dance sheet in case you wish to use it. We taught it at a big Country & Western Festival in Tenby, South Wales last week and it was well received. Unfortunately I have had to give alternative dances as the track is not available. Is there any chance y

Jacaranda Hotel, Costa Adeje, Tenerife - My lovely Stay At The Jacaranda

by DestinationTenerife

We stopped at the Hotel Jacaranda for 1 week, it was by far the best hotel I have ever stopped in. The staff were extremely friendly and couldnt offer to help enough, the food was great, giving a different variety every night including pork, steak, chicken, lamb and beef. Lots of vegetables and good variety for children. The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding! Every morning the cleaners would be cleaning around the pool area and every eveni...

Thomson Destiny Cruise Ship, Thomson Destiny, Thomson Cruises - Colourful Coasts (2 weeks)

by DestinationTenerife

Got back late last night from a 2 week cruise on the Thomson Destiny. It was a back to back cruise doing the Colourful Coasts itinerary twice. We flew from East Midlands and had no issues what so ever, arrived in Tenerife amid a scrum of shoving old people! It actually put us in a bit of a bad mood. Why people think it is necessary to push, elbow and shove their way off the plane and through baggage control it’s beyond me! We just stood ba...
