From the 9th to the 15th of August, Tenerife is going to be home to the prestigious World Kiteboarding Championship.

With over 150 entrants from a total of 12 countries - the event is set to be a lot of fun.  It is being held in El Medano, and provides a great chance for locals to face off against the worlds greatest!

Kiteboarding is a curious mix of surfing and Kiting - it really has to be seen to be believed, and the Tenerife leg will be no exception, since El Medano provides near perfect conditions for the sport.

The highly exciting freestlye football competition comes to Tenerife for the final leg of the Spanish Qaulifying finals, with a chance for the winners to move on to the national qualifiers, and eventually the final in South Africa.

Hotel Jardin Tropical are due to hold their 15th annual Golf Tournament in Tenerife, at the prestigious World Class Abama Golf Course.  It begins on the 6th June 2009, and there are prizes for 2 Women's categories and 3 Men's categories.
