Book your Tenerife flights early for Half Term offers

by DestinationTenerife

Many of the airlines flying to Tenerife are gearing themselves for an influx of bookings as we get closer to the school Half Term holidays.  Roughly hitting the week between 25-29th October this year, we highly reccomend that you get your flights booked nice and early, thereby getting cheaper flights and avoiding the dissapointment of not finding a seat with the airline you want.

No frills airlines such as Ryanair are among the most heavily booked and have been praised in the past for their 'no frills' flights.  Personally, I have flown to and from Tenerife with them several times, and the adage 'You get what you pay for' has never been truer.  Whilst an enjoyable and comfortable flight, there were certainly no added frills by any means!  The drinks and food were rather expensive too, but it was adequate enough for the 4 hour flight.

Some airlines are even adding extra seats and flights to their Winter lineup for Tenerife - and it comes as no surprise due to the fact that the Winter time is one of Tenerife's big draws, with heat and Sun all year round.

If you're looking for some Hotels for that warm Winter break, then you could do no worse than trying our new Tenerife Hotel Finder.  We aim to offer the best prices, and to beat any you may have been quoted elsewhere!  If you have already visited - why not leave a review with your feelings on the Hotel?

Monarch launches additional Half Term flights

by DestinationTenerife

Monarch Airlines has added a range of flights to Spanish destinations, including cheap flights to Tenerife, anticipating high demand during the Half Term break.  The majority of these are added to the Luton Airport schedule.

The MD of Monarch, Tim Jeans, was quoted as saying:

We have seen huge demand for flights to Spain and the Canary Islands this summer, with record breaking passenger and load factors recorded over the past few months. This demand has continued in to October and these additional services are in direct response to this.

Skyscanners recent destination survey showed that Tenerife, Alicante and Malaga were 3 of the favourite flight destinations for winter breaks.

More Newcastle to Tenerife flights on the Horizon?

by DestinationTenerife

Thomas Cook is set to house a 4th airplane at Newcastle Airport.

It will allow the airline to offer more cheap flights to Tenerife on a weekly basis, as well as including Paphos, Ibiza and Palma among the list of destinations slated to recieve extra routes.

It is estimated that it will allow an extra 70,000 holidaymakers to fly over the Summer period, pushing the limit up to around 300,000, a staggering number.

The CEO of Thomas Cook, Ian Derbyshire, was quoted as saying:

This underlines our commitment to Newcastle International Airport ... We are particularly pleased to have made this happen on the back of the problems caused by the recession and the ash cloud crisis.
