After reading the reviews regarding Las Piramides Apartments in Tenerife we were dreading our holiday were we in for a surprise. We found that although it looked tired we were infored that it will be closing early next year for a complete refurb. During our stay our rooms were cleaned every day towels changed every day bedding changed twice in the 1 week that we stayed. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. El Sombrero Apartments, Los Gigantes, Tenerife - El Sombrero

by DestinationTenerife

Very clean spacious apartment; well kept grounds; small pool but always plenty of sunbeds. The apartments are well situated, near supermarket, local bus stop and plenty of good restaurants. Some rooms are near the road so light sleepers beware! (But there is very little traffic in the wee hours). We didn't eat at the poolside bar but fellow holidaymakers thought it very good indeed. Los Gigantes is a quiet resort eg there are only three bars w...

Catalonia Oro Negro Hotel, Playa De Las Americas, Tenerife - Indifferent!

by DestinationTenerife

I can't in all honesty find much to criticise this hotel for - that said I can't find very much to praise it for either! My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant stay I can't say we would never return but it would take a very good deal to get us to go back. Plus points: Clean, good food (which is varied and well presented), efficient lifts, good sized rooms, pleasant friendly staff and a general very pleasant ambience. Minus points: Not enou...

Thomson Destiny Cruise Ship, Thomson Destiny, Thomson Cruises - Colourful Coasts (2 weeks)

by DestinationTenerife

Got back late last night from a 2 week cruise on the Thomson Destiny. It was a back to back cruise doing the Colourful Coasts itinerary twice. We flew from East Midlands and had no issues what so ever, arrived in Tenerife amid a scrum of shoving old people! It actually put us in a bit of a bad mood. Why people think it is necessary to push, elbow and shove their way off the plane and through baggage control it’s beyond me! We just stood ba...

Molino Blanco Hotel, Puerto De La Cruz, Tenerife - A Truly Awful Experience

by DestinationTenerife

I am basically not too fussy and I have never had cause to complain about a hotel room in my 45 years. But room 417 in the Molino Blanco in Puerto de la Cruz caused me to break this habit. The room was atrocious, so awful that I cannot believe the management had the nerve to let it. It is difficult to know where to start. We checked in at a perfectly acceptable reception area and the manager was pleasant. Once we had checked in, an assistant ...

Santa Maria Apartments, Costa Adeje, Tenerife - Great family holiday

by DestinationTenerife

The Santa Maria apartments were lovely and in a good location, not far from anything burt reasonably quiet for putting children to bed. Although we did not join in with many of the activities, the poolside bar was very nice and the pool itself safe, with lifeguards on duty. Not far from beach for little ones either. Reception well staffed and very helpful....

Santa Maria Apartments, Costa Adeje, Tenerife - Great Hotel

by DestinationTenerife

Stayed in April 08 and August 2008 with first choice and going back again in december booked this time independently, think it is a great aparthotel and well worth the money, great location, no complaints, three times there this year so that speaks for itself, also stayed at Riu Adeje Aparthotel and the Santiago IV which were great as well, but this Hotel is cheaper and very handy for everything. ...
