Resort beautiful. Hotel filthy, old, chipped old wardrobes and bedsprings had it. Floor was not brushed or cleaned the whole week we were there. The staff made the beds and NOTHING ELSE. The staff have been great especially with the kids of other families we have met and have become friends with. if we have had any problems we just had to speak to our rep and she would sort it out within the hour. I stayed self catering at the Oro Blanco for a week this September. It is fairly basic but the rooms are a decent size and the rates are fairly inexpensive. Another plus is the central location of the hotel and I had no issues with noise at night and the staff were friendly. I have been staying with my boyfriend and the El Sombrero for over two weeks from September to October and we both really enjoyed the place. We had a studio with sea view. The whole place, including the pool and all the surroundings were very clean. Everyone is very friendly there. I even left 5 euro for the chambermaid and she did not take them. There is a pretty big safe in the room that you can rent. I don't think we would have had problems...
