Earlier this year, during the height of Summer, the Ash Cloud from Iceland caused a massive stir, leaving hundreds of visitors to Tenerife stranded, and in some cases waiting weeks for a flight back to the UK.
Recent figures from the Turismo de Tenerife show that Tenerife is beginning to stabilise again, with a 3.77% growth in July - compared to the same period last year. In the period January to July, Tenerife recieved 2.7 million tourist visits, a 1.35% increase on last year. Whilst low, these figures show that the Island is continuing it's upwards growth.
Five star luxury Tenerife hotels are seeing the biggest increase, with a huge bookings increase of 10.67% for July. Self catering apartments and hostels have seen a rise of just over 5% as people look for more affordable Tenerife Holidays.
