EasyJet is introducing three flights to destinations in Spain and Turkey to meet demand created by the XL Airways collapse, according to officials at the carrier. The budget airline is operating the extra services from Gatwick Airport to Gran Canaria and Tenerife, in Spain’s Canary Islands, and to Dalaman in Turkey. Travel agencies are saying that flight prices have risen sharply as customers affected by the collapse of XL Leisure scramble to rebook their holidays.
