Re-Enactment of the Nelson battle in Tenerife

In 1797, Tenerife bravely fought back against Admiral Horatio Nelson, and consequently won.  Every year sees a large scale re-enactment of this fantastic victory, and 2009 is no different.

With period costumes and a full scale re-enacment going on, you can catch the action at 19:30 tonight,  in Plaza Weyler, Santa Cruz.

Thailand Princess visits Tenerife

One of Thailand's Princesses came to visit Tenerife this week, to visit Loro Parque and Siam Park, which both protray an accurate representation of Thailand architecture and culture.

Christoph Kiessling, the director of Siam Park, guided her around Siam Park, and was 'amazed' by the authentic design of the park.

On her second day, she met up with Wolfgang Kiessling, the founder of Loro Parque, for a guided tour.  Towards the end of the day, she was lucky enough to enjoy a Dolphin and Orca show.

This isn't the first time Tenerife, and Siam Park in particular has been blessed with a visit from royalty - Princess Maha Charkri Sirindhorn of Thailand was on hand top officialy open the park.

Fimucité 3 will pay tribute to the Alien complete saga. The first part of the closing concert, planned for Saturday, July 25th, at the Tenerife Auditorium, will be devoted to Alien with the "Biomechanical Symphony". Organized with Varese Sarabande, the Tenerife Film Orchestra & Choir will play a selection of the very best of each of the saga composers: Goldsmith, Horner, Goldenthal, Frizzel, Tyler.
