Playa De Las
Bright and exciting, this area is a pleasure seeker’s paradise and heaven for the sun worshippers.

The area mainly attracts the younger groups and couples, although families of all ages also visit Playa De Las Americas.
There are many hotels and apartment complexes ranging in standards, from the cheap and basic, to the luxurious.
Playa De Las Americas is also a shoppers paradise, with many gift shops, cigarette and alcohol outlets, as well as designer boutiques.
There is also never a shortage of places to eat in the area, also offering a full range of cuisines at affordable prices.
There are also many subdistricts if Playa De Las Americas, such as Torviscas and Fanabe, that tend to offer more upmarket accommodation and restaurants, and although near to all of the tourist facilites and attractions of Playa De Las Americas, are set in quieter surroundings.
In the evening, the area comes alive, with nightclubs in the area called “Veronicas” as well as many bars, that stay open until the early hours.
Los Cristianos
The second largest of the main tourist areas of
Sun lovers are still offered a vast stretch of sandy beach, surrounded by bars, cafes and shops, but the beach itself is a little more serene and covered than that of Playa De Las Americas.
As you make your way down to the coast, there is a large area consisting of various streets full to the brim of restaurants, bars and shops, offering a range of menus at very affordable prices.
Away from the coast, the area has a much more local sense, rather than the tourist traps of the centre, and there are many quaint cafes offering Spanish tapas at very low prices.
There are many bars that remain open until the early morning, but the night life is a little more sedate than that of Playa De Las Americas, however, the two resorts are a mere ten minute taxi ride apart.
Los Gigantes
On the South West side of the
There is a small sandy beach here, as well as several public swimming pools.
Los Gigantes also has its own port, and is where many of the local boat trips depart from.
Although the pace here is a little more calm, there are several bars that remain open until late, and a variety of restaurants, mainly specialising in seafood due to the location.
Playa De
This is a small Canarian based resort, with a small British community, on the South West of Tenerife.
For such a unknown tourists area, there is a large sandy beach here which does not become overcrowded as do some of the more established areas.
It is easier to find privately rented accommodation here rather than large tourist resorts, although a brand new five star resort is near completion in the neighbouring town of
There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars along the seafront, offering both Canarian and British cuisine, with seafood being the main speciality.
There are major bus routes from Playa De San Juan which connect with the larger resorts of Los Cristianos and Playa De Las Americas for approximately two euros per adult.
