Parque Las Aguilas
Jungle park / Parque Las Aguilas
The Jungle Park in Tenerife is a fantastic zoological and botanical park with over 75,000 square metres of jungle, over 500 animals, walking paths with tunnels, suspension bridges, waterfalls, lagoons, and caves, as well as free flight shows featuring exotic birds and birds of prey.
This is based in the hills above the Los Cristianos area of Tenerife. Free buses are available to take you from the main tourist areas and hotels to the park itself.
The bird show itself is a must see. You will see falcons, vultures and of course eagles in free flight, with informative details from the park staff via loudspeaker.
The bird show is very good for children, as you are given bird seed, and the birds are then invited to walk around the audience to feed from your hand.
The Eagle Park is home to some amazing animals including White Siberian Tigers, Spider Monkeys, Birds of Prey, Parrots, Crocodiles and lots, lots more.
What makes this place special is because you can interact with the animals, you can walk through the monkey enclosure were you get given nuts to put on your shoulder and watch as the little Spider Monkeys clamber over you. You can also go into a bird enclosure with a little pot of nectar and within minutes you have loads of little birds up your arm.
Prices are 23 Euros per adult and 16 Euros per child.
