This purpose built resort in the south of Tenerife offers the classic combination of sun, sea and sangria.

Developed over the last thirty years, Playa de las Americas is bright brash and exciting drawing a wide range of nationalities from all age groups. Serious sun worshippers can choose from a number of excellent beaches boasting a wealth of facilities and watersports whilst nightlife lovers can dance the night away in a massive choice of bars, pubs and nightclubs.

Recent years have seen a westerly expansion of the resort in the shape of the upmarket Costa Adeje which offers a swathe of top end hotels as well as some nicely constructed manmade beaches.

Although devoid of history and any real Canarian culture, Playa de las Americas does offer the package tourist a certain way of holidaying that many seem to love - plenty of well priced, good quality restaurants, decent beaches and an abundance of excursions, attractions and activities.
