The Regency Country Club is an excellent new resort located in the exclusive area of Chayofa, just 5 minutes from Los Cristianos on Tenerife 's southern edge.

Styled in a theme based on the exotic island of Bali, the natural stone and hand carved statues found around the resort are complemented by fabulous furniture and marble floors throughout the public areas, which offer panoramic views over the enormous infinity pool and gardens.

The resort was also recently visited by Victoria Hawkins (better known as Sharon Lambert from the hit UK television show Emmerdale).

"SEXY Emmerdale star Victoria Hawkins has just been chucked by her new fella - and she loved it.

Victoria, 22 - the ITV soap's mouthy Sharon Lambert - was hurled in the pool by musician Sean Jackson.

The couple had met only days earlier in Tenerife and soon made a splash at the Spanish island's Regency Country Club.

An onlooker said: "She was holding Sean's hand at the pool when he suddenly threw her in.

She clearly loved it."

Afterwards the couple had a big wet kiss.

It made a change from the chilly Yorkshire Dales where Victoria's soccer WAG character Sharon is planning to marry her footie boyfriend Danny.

But on holiday Victoria enjoyed being a SWAG - Soaked With A Grin."
